My involvement in the retail industry commenced in 1994 when I joined Coles Supermarkets as a casual worker and worked my way up to becoming the Bakery Department Manager in 1995.  My Organiser at the time, Elizabeth Shaw, appointed me as a union Delegate in my store and then in 2002 I commenced work for the SDA as a Casual Organiser until being offered a full-time role as one of the SDA’s nightfill Organisers.  My key strengths are the fine balance I have with  handling members' needs and issues with the HR departments of companies to achieve an outcome that is fair and just for all concerned.
