| I have been involved with unions for the past 23 years, commencing with the Carpenters & Joiners Union, then the AWU/FIME and then joined the SDA in 1997. I find it personally satisfying to help our members achieve good outcomes via the union negotiated enterprise agreements as they would not be able to achive such outcomes if they had to negotiate themselves direct with their employer.
