Junior rates in Australia mean that qualified, experienced 18+ year olds are getting paid only a percentage of the adult rate purely based on their age.
When you turn 18 you’re viewed as a responsible adult in the eye of the law – it just makes sense that you should have the same standing when you’re at work.
Young workers deserve to be paid properly for their contribution.
